27 November 2012  Periodic Table 5 Preview 4. The fourth preview version of Periodic Table 5 is now available. Periodic Table 5 Preview 4 makes several improvements as we move towards the finalized version 5. It requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, and has been tested with OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2. (That is, it runs on Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion, on both Intel and PowerPC Macs.) Remember, the regular price is $25, but during this preview time, the cost is only $22.

10 August 2012  Periodic Table 5 Preview. A preview version of Periodic Table 5 is now available. Periodic Table 5 Preview is (finally) a Universal Binary which runs natively on Intel and PowerPC Macs. It requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Many, many features have been added since the last version. This upgrade normally costs $15, but during the "Preview" time, the cost is only $12. The regular price for new users is $25, during this preview time, the cost is only $22 if you order online.

10 August 2012  Mountain Lion and Gatekeeper, and Periodic Table 5 Preview. Periodic Table 5 Preiew is not "signed", so when running under OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion with Apple's default Gatekeeper settings, the software may refuse to run because it is from an "unknown" source. The final version of Periodic Table 5 will be signed. In the meantime, you can open it without changing your Gatekeeper settings by pressing the control key while clicking on the Periodic Table icon, and choosing "Open" from the popup menu that appears. (This action instructs OS X to bypass Gatekeeper for the application.)
